| Happy New Year for 2012! |
|
I hope everyone had a nice Christmas and New Year break or holiday. I know I did. I am doing well and am very busy being worked hard at training everyday by my coach and I have an even more enthused outlook now the calendar has ticked over 2012! In the last two weeks I have hit pb after pb at training which is very exciting. It also is very fatiguing as I have never physically experienced the tole it will have on the body to ride that fast but I am loving it all the same. I cant raise the bar if I first don't reach new depths which will in turn allow me to reach new heights. The challenge is certainly being met at recent race meets around the world with the Chinese team riding within 0.03 seconds of the team sprint world record held by Kaarle and I at the Beijing world cup this month and the German pairing riding within 0.1 seconds of the world record in the Cali world cup in December. We are expect that at the London world cup next month that this record will fall given the reports of the great track conditions London is said to have. London World Cup will be the first competition of the season where all the big names will be competing as it is the only chance to get a ride on the Olympic velodrome before the Games in July so it will be great to see where everyone is at and I expect that it will be very very difficult and challenging something I am looking forward to facing. Currently I am still in Adelaide as I have the track National Championships coming up next week from January 26th-January 29th. I will be sure to keep you posted on my performances throughout that race meet and again through the London world cup scheduled for February 17-19th. |
